Dining In and Dining Out

Both the Barn and the Lodge have very spacious kitchens, equipped to the highest standards, making cooking for large numbers easy. Of course, if you prefer, we can arrange for our Cook in Residence, Sally Ball, to come in and produce an amazing dinner you won't forget.

The kitchens are equipped with electric double range ovens and large gas hobs, washing machines (two in the Barn), wine coolers and large 'American Style' fridges. We've tried to think of everything you might need for your stay!

Our ‘Dining In’ service comes in several flavours. However, when you arrive the fridge will be stocked with bread, butter, milk, sausages and eggs so you have a 'starter pack' in the house ready to go. We use locally sourced food whenever we can and there are some wonderful farm shops we can point you to in the area so you can enjoy the best of Norfolk produce.

Arrival Service – This is a real boon to those unable to get away in good time on their first day. Choose from a series of set menus for your first night and when you arrive, the food will be ready in the fridge to put straight into the oven saving you the worry of what to do on that first night.

Prepared Dinners – Whether it’s a number of prepared dinners for the week or one sumptuous dinner for one particular occasion, again, the range of set menus provided will give you options for one or more evenings during your stay. Our superb Chef will create dishes and leave them for you the afternoon before the party so all you have to do is pop them in the oven and relax with a glass of wine. A full barbeque service is also available.

Full Service Dinner – Of course, if you’d rather that our Chef does everything for you – including the washing up – then we can provide a fully serviced dinner for you with a wide selection of menu choices, leaving you to concentrate on your guests.

Online Shopping - Online delivery is available from Waitrose. Tesco make it completely impossible to deliver by imposing restrictions on holiday home deliveries and they have a deeply unhelpful call centre so we recommend not using them.

Please make sure you contact us to obtain the gate code prior to arranging a delivery and please give the telephone number of the Barn and Lodge so that the driver can enter the gate code.
